The other extreme

In keeping with the year of extremes, my next holiday is going to be the exact opposite of the one I just finished: exotic, exciting and over the top. I can't wait!

Yay!! It is on my list for this year as well - 6 hours from Paris, and a good friend of mine used to live there. Shall we go together? I am thinking 2 days is enough, then hit Oman and Jordan!

Gosh, wish I'd known there was so much interest in Dubai -- would have arranged a group trip there! I'm actually all set to go over Chinese New Year with a friend here in Beijing who said she'd go with me (I've been dying to go since forever) and the whole thing just came together. I'm on page 10 of the guidebook and am already super psyched about it. Will post pictures, of course!
